Streaming to Vimeo

Vimeo is the leading all-in-one video platform for professionals, creators, and businesses to showcase their work with high-quality, ad-free video. Streaming to Vimeo allows you to connect with a dedicated community that values professional content. This guide will walk you through setting up your XSplit Broadcaster to go live on Vimeo.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, please ensure you have an active Vimeo account with live streaming capabilities.

Setting up your Vimeo Output

The Vimeo output plugin should be installed by default. If it isn't listed, install it via the Plugin Store : BroadcastSet up a new outputFind more outputs or ToolsPlugin Store.

XSplit's Vimeo integration simplifies setup by directly connecting to your Vimeo account. No more copy-pasting stream URLs and stream keys.

  1. XSplit will open your browser window to request permissions. Click Allow to continue.

You'll be prompted to log into your Vimeo account, if you aren't already.

  1. On the Vimeo properties window, click OK to finish set up.

Video and audio encoding settings will be automatically set up. Advanced users can modify these at any time.

Starting your Vimeo Livestream

  1. Begin streaming by clicking the Stream button (or by selecting your Vimeo output from the Broadcast menu).

If you have other outputs set up, check if your Vimeo output is selected from the Stream button drop-down.

  1. Enter your title and stream title in the pre-stream dialog that appears then click Start Broadcast.

The Event Title would be your event's name while the Stream Title would be your video's or presentations' name.
