What is Presentation Sources audio capture mode?

Presentation Sources is a distinct audio capture mode that captures audio based exclusively on the sources you've added. In contrast, the default System Devices mode captures all sounds from the default system device.

While both modes allow you to add any recording (microphone) or playback (system sound) device as Global Devices, Presentation Sources offers a focused approach:

Typically, the default system sound device is not added as a Global Device in this mode.
It is designed to capture specific audio sources, excluding all other sounds routed through the default system sound device.

Updating or Changing Your Payment Method

As financial situations or preferences change, there might be a need to switch to a different card or payment method. Whether it's an expired credit card or other concerns, updating payment details ensures uninterrupted service.

Add Payment Method: In the Customer Portal, go to the Payment Method section and click on Add payment method.
Input New Details: Here, enter the necessary card details and finalize by clicking Add.

For Users With Browser Addons/Extensions

The error message is usually caused by certain browsers types and/or browser extensions blocking XSplit from authorizing the login, such as ad blockers, proxies, or VPN services. You can fix this by disabling these services temporarily and then try logging in again.

For Users With Brave Browser

Brave's very own Shields extension is known to cause issues with XSplit's web-based login authorization, rendering user's unable to successfully log in.

If Brave is set as your computer’s default browser, we suggest disabling Brave's Shields on the XSplit website by toggling it down. Then login on the XSplit program again to complete the authorization. You can turn the Brave Shields UP again after successfully logging in.

Connecting XSplit Connect with VCam via USB

Using a USB connection is recommended and fully supported when using VCam for windows with XSplit Connect. (USB Connection is not yet supported when using XSplit VCam for Mac OS)

Make sure that you have the latest version of the XSplit Connect mobile app and XSplit VCam for Windows then follow the instructions below:

To use this method, it is required that your iOS phone is connected to the same wifi network as your computer

Install iTunes on your computer.
Connect your iPhone’s Lightning to USB Cable to both your iPhone and computer.
Refresh or select your iPhone as the camera on XSplit VCam.

NOTES:

|| The no wifi/data USB only connection is only available on XSplit VCam v3.0 or later. For earlier versions of XSplit VCam, both your PC and mobile device still needs to be connected to the same unrestricted network when using USB mode.

|| Please note that the USB tethering mode mentioned in this article is NOT the one referred to in the Connections settings of your phone, but the option typically found in the authorization popup menu the moment you connect your device to your PC using a data USB cable.

Gamecaster.com - End of the journey

Dear Gamecaster Community,

It is with great regret that we announce the closure of Gamecaster on March 31, 2023.

As previously communicated, we had hoped that Gamecaster's integration with XSplit would provide us with the necessary resources to continue maintaining the app and addressing the technical issues that have been affecting many of you. However, we have since faced the unfortunate reality that the original development team behind Gamecaster have moved on to pursue other opportunities. Gamecaster is a complex application that relies heavily on third-party integrations and advanced internal components, and without the dedicated expertise of the original team, the app's functionality has significantly deteriorated.

Additionally, while the support of our Pro users has enabled us to continue operating Gamecaster thus far, sales have not been sufficient to cover ongoing operational costs. As a result, the number of active Pro subscribers has been decreasing due to the technical issues encountered.

We will continue to provide support for Gamecaster until March 31, 2023, after which we will shut down the servers. Please note that any assets you may have stored in the Gamecaster cloud and the app itself will be inaccessible after this date. We encourage you to export any data that you wish to keep.

For all active Pro subscribers, we have canceled your subscription at the end of your current license period to avoid any further charges. As a token of appreciation
