Use Case Ideas

Show a presentation with your camera

Add a Webpage, Desktop/Window Capture or Google Slides source while keeping your webcam on top so people can see you while you present.

Multiple cameras and a combined view

Have more than one camera? Create individual scenes with each camera for quick switching. You can also make a scene that shows both cameras at once for a picture-in-picture demo.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I change the Virtual Camera resolution?

The Virtual Camera uses your current Broadcaster canvas resolution, up to 1080p. Note that your meeting app may still limit resolution size or downscale the video.

Can I use XSplit Broadcaster to send audio?

Yes. Broadcaster includes a Virtual Microphone so your call can receive the audio from your scene. In your meeting app, just choose XSplit Audio (Broadcaster) as the microphone.

In Google Meet, "Mic muted by system" may show as a warning. However, audio will still send out as normal.

For users in Presentation Sources audio capture mode

Make sure that your mic or headset has also been added. Either as an Audio Device source or added as a Global Recording Device in the Audio Mixer.

Adding a headset to Global Devices in the Audio Mixer

Adding Audio Device sources is exclusive to XSplit Premium subscribers

For users in System Devices audio capture mode

You can set your default microphone in the Audio Settings. You DO NOT need to add your microphone (as a source or Audio Mixer Global Device) as adding the same device in your Audio Settings will cause echoes.

Why does my preview look mirrored or inverted in Google Meet?

Google Meet mirrors your local preview by default. Participants see your video in the correct orientation.
