Create your scene. 2. Set up streaming or recording. 3. Use the **Stream** and **Record** buttons to start. --- ## 1. Create your first Scene You can create your first scene in two ways: * [Use **Layout Wizard** for a guided setup.](#3-using-the-layout-wizard) * [Add sources manually for a custom layout.](#3-adding-sources-manually) ### Using the Layout Wizard Layout Wizard is the fastest way to build a basic scene when you are just getting started. 1. On the welcome screen, click **Get started with a layout**. Click **Add Source**. 2. Choose the type of source you want to add. 3. Resize and arrange your sources on the canvas. ### Scenes Scenes are collections of sources working together in one layout. You can switch between them using the Scene buttons. To rename a scene, right-click the relevant Scene button. To learn more, see [Scenes in XSplit Broadcaster](/en/article/scenes-di9j8i/). To learn more about source types, see[ Sources in XSplit Broadcaster.](/en/article/sources-menu-introduction-19o39qj/) | **Optional** | Before you stream or record, you can set your preferred resolution and frame rate at the top of the canvas. Start Streaming or Recording ### Streaming 1. Confirm which canvas the **Record** button will capture. 2.
