| If you're using BlueStacks 4, [click here](/en/article/capturing-gameplay-from-bluestacks-4-1n6vv56/).

## Preparation

Before doing the steps below, make sure that BlueStacks 5's **Graphics renderer** and **Interface Renderer** (found in the app **Settings**) is set to **OpenGL** as this has been tested to be the most compatible.

## Capturing BlueStacks 5

Below are the steps you can follow so you can use **XSplit Broadcaster** to capture gameplay from **BlueStacks 5**. We recommend that these steps be followed **in order**.

1. Run **XSplit Broadcaster**, then select **Add Source > Game Capture > Auto Detect**

2. Run **BlueStacks 5.**

3. The app should automatically be captured by **XSplit Broadcaster**.

||| Tests have shown issues when capturing using **DirectX**. Although this guide focuses on the use of OpenGL, feel free to change this setting depending on what works on your system.
