# Adding startup parameters to XSplit Broadcaster

For troubleshooting purposes, you may need to launch XSplit with some start-up parameters.

1. Right-click on your _XSplit Broadcaster_ shortcut then click **Properties**.

2. Click on the _Target_ field and type in the parameter at the end. Make sure that there is a space between the target path and parameter as seen below.

|| In this guide, we're using **devdebug** as an example of a commonly-used parameter we use during troubleshooting. There may be other parameters you can use, depending on the issue.
